Laboratory of Ruminant Livestock Farming

Ruminant livestock farming is one of the most important sectors of animal production worldwide, providing nutritious foods, such as milk and meat. Current production systems face multiple challenges referring to productivity and efficiency, as well as improved animal welfare and reduced environmental impact. The Laboratory of Ruminant Livestock Farming aims to study the holistic management of ruminant production leading to improved economic performance and addressing current and future challenges of the sector.
